Accommodation
Built around sharing space, Casting Space offers those within the filming community the chance to share their spare spaces with others in the industry. Help people move around, get closer to work and hopefully then be in a position to take on more work.
Booking Accommodation
- Search for a “Listings” room by Town or Postcode, near to filming locations and select a space to suit.
- Hook up with your HOST through the Chatroom.
Meet the Team
Mother and son Julia and Oscar have been working in the filming industry as SAs for the last few years. They noticed that the logistics of getting to set can be really challenging. There are many SAs without cars and who rely on public transport to get to work. It’s particularly hard with a 4am start!!
Hence the inception of Casting Space
Julia Emmott
- After many years in financial services a change in career brought Julia to the filming industry.
- Working as an SA on many high profile films and TV shows was a fantastic experience. A different work location almost every day, new colleagues and friends to work alongside and an exciting array of artistic and creative experts to learn from.

Oscar Emmott
- At the start of his career has enjoyed the freedom of being an SA whilst developing other skills across many fields and traveling the world.
- Oscar has worked on 30+ productions so far; been an elf, a servant and training stuntman. Loving every job, he wants to help others inside the community to gain more work while meeting new people.
- Otherwise a Sports Coach, always self-employed doing lots of different work across all fields.
Goal for Industry
A new and exciting app that can build a community within the film industry.
Offering an easy way to fill spare rooms near to ‘locations’ and subsequently enabling safer, convenient and eco-friendly journeys in the process!

Everyone needs help sometimes especially on long jobs or distances away from home. We would love for all SAs and crew to help out promoting us and thereby let everyone have easier working lives.
